Hennock and Teign Village

Hennock is a small Village situated 600 feet above sea level on the south side of the beautiful Teign Valley on Dartmoor in Devon, England, it is reputed to have one of the best views in Devon. Owing to the village being constructed in a kilometre long ribbon along the contour line almost every house in the village has a view over the valley below.
Teign Village is located down the steep side of the valley, some 400 feet below Hennock. Built in 1911/12 by the quarry company to house the workers in the local quarry, nowadays it is a thriving community of some 50 houses boasting its own Social Club and Football team.

Both villages are situated within the Dartmoor National Park

On this site you will find much about the history of the Village and a listing of Activities most of which are organised by the Village Hall Committee to raise funds for the maintenance of our 700 year old Village Hall.
